5xfAD Histology

PFA fixed hemi-brains were cryopresevered and sectioned coronally at 40 uM, and stored as 1 in 12 slices throughout the brain. Immunostains were performed for IBA1/Thio-S, GFAP/S100/Thio-S, and NeuN/Ctip2/Thio-S to visualise microglia, astrocytes, and neurons respectively at every 12th section throughout the brain. Slices were then imaged using a Zeiss Slidescanner, and then exported and feature counts quantified using Bitplane Imaris.  Detailed methodology is available here (insert link).
